About Catey Moring:
Hello everyone and welcome to my web page! My husband Mark and I moved to Clinton the summer of 2012 from Purcell/Norman area. I received my M.Ed. from the University of Oklahoma, and I taught special education for 6 years at the elementary level and then was a counselor at Norman High School for 5 years. I then worked at Nance Elementary for 2 years as the counselor, and now I am back with the "big" kids at the high school. I am very excited about the 2015-16 school year and look forward to working with the students, parents, and community.
My husband and I have two wonderful children, Shelby, age 8, who is in Third grade at Southwest and Cael, 5 who will be in Kindergarten this year and a beloved dog, Wolf. We are huge sports fan and are proud OU and Clinton fans. A few things about myself are: I love to cook- especially cookies, cakes, pies, anything sweet, and if we lived closer to the mountains I would snow ski ALL the time!
I have many responsibilites as counselor, but I strive to get to know your student and build a personal relationship with them to help them be as successful as possible. One of the most important aspects of my job is making myself available to students who are experiencing academic, behavioral, or emotional problems at school or home. I am also available to visit with parents, guardians, and grandparents who need support, understanding, or community resources.
If I can be assistance in anyway, please feel free to contact me at Clinton High school 323-1230 or email at Catey.firstname.lastname@example.org. Together I know we will have a great year!
