Finally, the 2017 winners for the Sequoyah Books Awards have been announced! Chosen by the Oklahoma Library Association, your CHS Library works hard every year to add them to our collection. We already have many of the high school masterlist books thanks to Ms. Allison’s good taste and foresight. Be assured, the order for our few missing titles has already been placed. We will be adding:

  • The Reader by Traci Chee
  • In the Shadow of Liberty: The Hidden History of Slavery, Four Presidents, and Five Black Lives by Kenneth C. Davis
  • Still Life with Tornado by A.S. King
  • March: Book Three by John Lewis, Andrew Aydin, Nate Powell
  • Up to This Pointe by Jennifer Longo
  • A Fierce and Subtle Poison by Samantha Mabry
  • The Female of the Species by Mindy McGinnis
  • Underwater by Marisa Reichardt
  • Highly Illogical Behavior by John Corey Whaley
  • And I Darken by Kiersten White
  • The Steep & Thorny Way by Cat Winters
  • The Serpent King by Jeff Zentner
