About Clay Chittum

I graduated Clinton High School in 1991 after growing up within the community.  After graduating SWOSU with a B.A. in History in 1995, I attended graduate school at the University of South Dakota.  I returned home in 1996 to our family's ranch north of Clinton, which has been in our family for over 100 years.  The following year, I was hired at Clinton High School.  I have taught AP history since 1998.  I was a member of the High School football staff from 1996-2006, being part of seven state titles.  I currently coach middle school baseball.

My wife, Janae, sons: Brady (11)and Jacob (5), and I live on our ranch.  Brady and Jacob are currently enrolled in Clinton Public Schools, representing the third generation of my family to attend school here.
