Clinton Public Schools is closely monitoring the approaching winter weather forecast. At this time, school will be in session Friday, January 23. We will continue to track conditions with student and staff safety as our top priority.

If inclement weather requires any changes to our normal school schedule, those decisions will be communicated as quickly as possible.

Families and staff are encouraged to watch for official updates from CPS via text message, email, phone calls, our website, social media, and local news stations.

This morning, Clinton Middle School received an anonymous threat. As a precaution, all school sites were placed on lockdown while the situation was investigated.

We have received the all clear from law enforcement, and all schools have returned to normal operations.

Student safety is our highest priority. Law enforcement and school administrators responded immediately, all safety protocols were followed, and students and staff are safe. Learning continued with minimal disruption.

Thank you for your patience and partnership as we work together to keep our schools safe.

Clinton High School Vocal Music students spent Thursday with Dr. Jim Graves, Director of Choral Activities at Southern Nazarene University, during a special clinic as they prepare for their OkMEA Honor Performance this week.

Students received valuable feedback and guidance as they fine-tuned their music for this prestigious event. This clinic was made possible through a grant from the Clinton Public School Foundation, and we are grateful for their continued support of our arts programs.

So proud of these directors and singers and the dedication they bring to their work!

A special thank you to Dr. Sophia Lee from Southwestern Oklahoma State University for providing accompaniment for both rehearsal and their performance.

Mark your calendar and come hungry. The Clinton Archery Fundraiser Dinner is set for next Sunday, January 25, at the Frisco Conference Center. 🏹

For $15 per plate, enjoy chicken legs in red sauce, rice, beans, salad, a roll, a drink, and dessert. Proceeds will benefit Clinton Archery and help support our student athletes. 🎯

The dinner begins at 11:30am. Tickets are available from any archery team member or at the door. We hope to see you there!

The CHS Choir spent Monday night rehearsing with Dr. Sophia Lee, Director of Music Therapy at SWOSU, who will serve as their accompanist for the OkMEA performance next week. 🎶🎹

The rehearsal focused on refining musical details, balance, and expression as students continue preparing for the upcoming performance. Working closely with their accompanist at this point in the process is helping the choir build confidence and bring the music together.

Western Technology Center will host mandatory parent or guardian meetings for students interested in starting training in August.

Meetings will be held on Monday, January 26, or Tuesday, January 27, at WTC Burns Flat and WTC Sayre. Families may choose to attend at 5:30pm or 6:30pm, and meetings will take place in the program areas.

Please note that WTC–Burns Flat Cosmetology will meet at 5:30pm only and will be held in the Seminar Center.

These meetings are required for students planning to attend WTC next school year.
